Gerald Dobbs, Park Services Superintendent of the Cordova Recreation and Park District (CRPD), was recently elected as treasurer of the Professional Grounds Management Society.

Founded in 1911, PGMS is a national membership organization of grounds professionals dedicated to advancing the grounds management profession through education and professional development. PGMS has ten local U.S. branches with members working for organizations such as colleges and universities, municipalities, park and recreation facilities, commercial properties, cemeteries, theme parks and landscape management companies.

Gerry began his service with CRPD in 2013 and has been an involved member of the Society since 2000. He has previously served as the certification chairman, North Central regional director and South West regional director. Gerry will begin his service as treasurer in January 2017.
