More than 50 adults and children braved the cold to help plant 25 shade trees at Prospect Hill Park in Gold River on Saturday, December 17. The tree planting project was coordinated by the Cordova Recreation and Park District and the Sacramento Tree Foundation.
CRPD pre-dug the holes and volunteers help plant and mulch the new trees. Thank you to the Sacramento Tree Foundation for their partnership and donation of the 25 trees, to resident Hooman Gazanfari for his coordination of volunteers and to all the community members who came out and made a difference.
