RANCHO CORDOVA, CA (MPG) - On Wednesday, December 18, the Lincoln Village neighborhood in the City of Rancho Cordova held its 5^th Annual Holiday Parade to celebrate the season and to come together as a community.

This year’s parade covered 2.7 miles and featured 15 participants, including the Rancho Cordova Police Department, the City of Rancho Cordova, Mayhew Baptist Church, Republic Services and, of course, the residents of Lincoln Village.

The Lincoln Village Holiday Parade was once again organized by the community group, It Takes a Lincoln Village (ITLV). Back in 2015, the parade started with just a few cars. Since then, it has grown with the help of community partners.

"Families and kids look forward to the parade, so it's great being able to provide it," said resident Janine Anderson, organizer of this year’s parade. "This is a tradition now for our community.”

At 6:30 PM, 15 dazzling floats decorated with holiday lights lined up in front of A.M. Winn Elementary School before beginning the parade route through the neighborhood.

After the parade ended, residents were invited to A.M. Winn Elementary School where they enjoyed free photos with Santa and holiday refreshments.
