Face coverings made by local and regional sewers

Rancho Cordova, CA (MPG) -  The City of Rancho Cordova is hosting a drive-thru distribution to provide thousands of FREE face coverings and hand sanitizer to Rancho Cordova families! Each household will receive one face covering per person and one household-sized bottle of hand sanitizer. The cloth face coverings were designed and handmade by a network of local and regional sewers spearheaded by Synbyo in Rancho Cordova, and the hand sanitizer was donated by AMPAC Fine Chemicals in Rancho Cordova. Residents will be asked to provide proof of Rancho Cordova residency. Join us to see the distribution take place and learn from Rancho Cordova's Mayor, who is also a virologist, how the event is part of the city's efforts to stop the spread of COVID-19.

The City of Rancho Cordova's response to the COVID-19 pandemic has been focused on helping residents and businesses navigate this unprecedented time. One of the strategies the city used was hosting two drive-through distributions to provide thousands of face coverings to Rancho Cordova businesses to help keep their employees and customers safe and healthy, which received positive feedback from the business community. By partnering with local businesses, the city was able to expand on this distribution to support its residents. As cities in Sacramento County partner to Turn Sacramento Orange by Halloween, this effort is one step towards continuing to help to stop the spread of COVID-19.
