Students in 7""12 Grades to Return for In-person Learning
Mar 15, 2021 12:00AM ● By FCUSD Press ReleaseRANCHO CORDOVA, CA (MPG) - Beginning March 17 Secondary schools in Folsom Cordova Unified School District will welcome back students in 7 – 12 grades to campus in a Hybrid Model. The Folsom Cordova Unified School District has been planning for the safe return of students to campus for many months and in collaboration with bargaining team leadership from FCEA and CSEA, and health officials from Sacramento County Public Health.
All families who chose 100 percent virtual learning for their children will continue full Distance Learning.
The return of 6th grade students was previously approved by Sacramento County Public Health.
7th – 12th grade students coming to campus for in-person instruction will be divided into two groups, to maintain social distancing per health guidelines:
Students in Group A will attend in-person class on Tuesdays/Wednesdays and will join their classmates virtually on Thursday/Fridays; Students in Group B will attend in-person class on Thursdays/Fridays and will join their classmates virtually on Tuesdays/Wednesdays; Students in Group D (Distance Learning) will join their classmates virtually Tuesday – Friday; Monday instruction is asynchronous and are set aside for teacher planning, teacher/student interventions, teacher/student outreach.
Class instruction will be delivered in-person and online concurrently, thanks to advanced AV technology and equipment in the classroom.
Please note: as part of our safe reopening plan, no visitors are allowed onto any school campuses.
