RANCHO CORDOVA, CA (MPG) - The Mitchell Marauders wrestling team have taken on competitors from throughout the greater Sacramento area and beyond at tournaments at Rocklin and most recently at Bella Vista High School in Fair Oaks.

The middle schoolers season started in December when they attended the Spring View Middle School tournament in Rocklin and came away with seven first place medals for Caleb Evangelista (89), Zander Tran (99), Ericka Banks (100), Moses Alvarez (85), Harmain Raza (112), Jonathan Orozco (145), and Simon Singh (160); second place finishes to Luke McKeown (97) and Ryder Sullivan (105), and third place finishes to Trent Udovic (76) and Elena Barajas (90).

The Marauder Wrestlers visited the Bella Vista Winter Classic Wrestling Tournament this past Saturday at Bella Vista High School where the Marauder team finished 6^th overall out of 47 schools.  Notable individual grappler results included Luke McKeown (97) 1^st, Aiden Senner (85) 2^nd, Caleb Evangelista (89) 2^nd, Zander Tran (99) 2^nd,  Ericka Banks (100) 2^nd, Ryder Sullivan (105) 2^nd, Mario Covarubius (152) 3^rd.
