SACRAMENTO REGION, CA (MPG) - Being a mother is the best reason you’ll ever have to take care of you! Golden Pond Senior Living’s moms, daughters, and gal pals were treated to a Mother’s Day Pampering and Photo session recently.

Local hair, make-up, and nail specialists volunteered their time to help our ladies feel extra glamorous and special.

One make-up artist, in particular, came expecting to merely fulfill the task of applying make-up to “mature” women.  As the day unfolded, she was so deeply moved as she saw these women’s reactions to themselves when looking in the mirror, it brought her to tears.  She expressed that she was honored and full of gratitude to have contributed to these ladies feeling as vibrant on the outside as they still feel on the inside.

Often, in our society, as our youth fades, we may begin to feel invisible.  To see the looks of joy and sparkle in the eyes of these strong, beautiful women who have lived such full lives brought tears to the eyes of those there to witness the magical experience.

After being pampered, there was a professional photo session with local photographer, Rachelle Foster.  Rachelle did a beautiful job of capturing treasured moments between mothers and daughters.  She not only captured the outer beauty of our lovely ladies, but the inner beauty that shines through every day as well!

Here at Golden Pond, one of our main goals is facilitating meaningful moments in the lives of our residents.  We care, we care a lot.  It’s kind of our thing!
