RANCHO CORDOVA, CA (MPG) - While you're holiday shopping this month, treat the family to a sweet adventure and give the kids a memorable photo with Santa Claus at KP International Market's gingerbread castle!

“This year Santa will be returning December 15 through December 25 for customers and families to take pictures with and to enjoy this holiday tradition,” said Curt Haven, of Haven Consulting, about the 34-foot wide, 18-foot-tall gingerbread castle exhibiting this season.

KP International Market owner BJ Yu said it took 3½ weeks to have built a large, edible, gingerbread castle made of 140,000 cookies inside the popular Rancho Cordova supermarket. “We are once again glad to be offering the community these photo opportunities as we have done in years past,” he said.

The gingerbread edifice was made by Chef Newton, a 37-year veteran pastry chef who was awarded number one Pastry Chef of the Year in 2013 and 2014 by the Restaurant Riders Association.

The free photo event is scheduled daily from 10 am-8 pm until Christmas Day with free printing available on the spot.
