RANCHO CORDOVA, CA (MPG) – Every year, the Cordova Recreation & Park District (CRPD) is honored to welcome Santa and Mrs. Claus for a breakfast with the community at their Neil Orchard Senior Activities Center (Center) on December 2. Despite it being the busiest time of year, Santa and Mrs. Claus always make sure to take time to welcome families, take pictures with children and make note of all their holiday wishes. This year was no exception, and it may have been the busiest year of them all!
Although the weather was cold and dreary, it was no match for the holiday cheer of the community that came together at the Center. Patrons were served a hot pancake breakfast and browsed handmade crafts and home goods from local makers. From holiday ornaments to unique gifts, there was something for everyone. An exciting new addition to the celebration this year was live orchestral music performed by the Cordova Youth Orchestra from the Sacramento Performing Arts Conservatory.

For the youngest participants, there was also a dedicated craft area to create a holiday themed keepsake from the event. Of course, the highlight of the morning was the chance to meet Santa himself! Families lined up to take photos alongside Santa and Mrs. Claus and capture the magic of the holiday season.
CRPD wishes to give thanks for the sponsors, vendors and volunteers that made this holiday kick-off a success! We also wish to thank all our community members for joining us at this delightful Saturday morning breakfast!
